Creating a StoryBoard

Creating a beachside vision board, which I call a beachside storyboard, is very helpful when writing your story.

I don’t know about you, but watercolor images inspire me to write. It’s like the words jump out of my heart and onto the page when I see the movement of the blended colors in a watercolor painting. I have found that the movement of blended watercolors will create the emotions that I want my readers to experience and feel that are difficult to capture in words only.

I also keep the following inspirational quote in front of me when I write so that I am reminded why I need to create beautiful, inspiring images to recharge my heart, my tongue, and my pen. My purpose is never to write a story that leaves the reader feeling hopeless or in need of want or love. I want my readers to feel satisfied.

External motivationial sources are like mobile chargers. You need to charge up your heart and mind with beautiful images to write a creative article, a story plot, a poem, a song, or a novel that appeals to the heart and soul of your readers.

I avoid writing while I am searching for external motivation. I always unplug from social media and disconnect from negative people in my life. I switch to books, pictures, or inspirational movies to get my motivational mind to create new words, stories, book covers, and creative ideas that will build up my faith to hope more, love more, and give more faith, hope, and love to myself and others.

I hope you catch the wave and write your own short story, blog post, song , or novel. As you surf through my design studio on the web and take a stroll on the beach in your imagination, don’t forget to check out my beach boutique of KDP book covers and my beachside collection of social media templates for Instagram, Pinterest, and more to create a cohesive look for your brand.

happy Surfing!
